Pupil Voice

Pupils in all classes elect two school council members who represent their views at school council meetings.

These meetings take place twice termly in the Staffroom. Minutes are kept and all council members feed back to their respective classes as part of the PSCHE curriculum.

Changes already made following issues raised by pupils include:

  • additional seating in the playground,

  • healthier school dinners and safer snacks

  • new lunchtimes sanction system

  • the monitoring of rough play and use of inappropriate language in the playground

  • new playground markings.

We have a Friendship Stop in the playground for any pupil who feels lonely and would like a friend. The school council also are on hand to provide an instant Buddy for any child seen on the Friendship Stop.

Pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 classes elect two school council members who represent their views at school council meetings. These meetings take place twice termly in the Staffroom. Minutes are kept and all council members feed back to their respective classes as part of the PSCHE curriculum.
