On Friday we cleaned out the brooder box, whilst 11 lucky children were able to hold the chicks. After carefully, placing newspaper on the floor, we then made a large circle and allowed the chicks to run free in between us. The chicks were placed in the middle and after initially seeming nervous they soon became braver and were soon dashing about all over the place. It was funny when they started making cheeping noises and when the started to play fight with each other. Some of the chicks are already starting to grow feathers on their wings and we can't wait to see how big they have grown by Monday.
